Rastacat  Cornish Rex

Gr. Ch. Jacnjan Jelliclejess

I fell in love with Cornish Rex when I saw my first one at a Cat Show - he was magnificent, a black smoke and white - he looked like he was wearing his dinner jacket and spats and I vowed that one day I would own a cat just like that of my own breeding.  So when eventually I bred Gr Ch Jacnjan Jelliclejess I knew I had achieved what I had set out to do.

But it all started in 1989 for me, when I acquired my first Cornish, Rexivel Trickortreat, bred by Jackie and Trevor Green and our friendship has continued to this day - and they still allow me to own some of their beautiful cats (see the Sphynx page).

Over the years I have been actively involved in outcrossing, as the Cornish gene pool is very limited and new blood lines are always necessary.  I have Russian Blue, Siamese, British Shorthair and Moggy out-crossings along the years, but I have also imported lines from Sweden and Finland.

I am also very active with the Cornish Rex Cat Society, which I helped set up and the aim of the Society is to promote the Cornish Rex cat as much as possible and to assist new owners as much as possible - see the Links page.
